Senior Structural Engineer Required

This role is an opportunity to become and influential member of the team, working closely with our Technical Director.

Our engineers aim to deliver economic, sustainable and high performance outcomes for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing across a range of projects, specialising in reinforced concrete
  • Producing detailed load take downs
  • Producing design and build concepts for pricing department
  • Providing technical support to estimating and construction team

Attributes:

  • Significant experience of buildings structures design experience to British standards and Eurocodes in a consulting engineering firm
  • Experience in all the main materials
  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Already worked towards Chartered status or be working towards this ideally
  • Excellent experience working within a structural engineering role
  • Experience in design of reinforced concrete
  • Experience with structural analysis software
  • Problem solver with a practical approach
  • Excellent communication skills as well as the ability to work independently

The position will carry a competitive salary, dependent on experience.

Setting Out Engineer Required

Our rapidly expanding design & build foundation company is seeking to employ a pro-active Setting Out Engineer.

The ideal candidate should be able to work unsupervised, have a good attention to detail and be able to work to a high level of accuracy. They should also be hard working, have a strong work ethic and demonstrate good communication skills.

Candidates at junior and senior level should apply and be competent in setting out site groundwork’s, concrete foundations, pile caps, RC and drainage.

Experience operating Leica Viva one man robotic equipment would be advantageous whilst also being conversant with AutoCAD.

The position will carry a salary banding of £45,000 to £55,000 which is dependent upon experience.
The accompanying package will be inclusive of either company vehicle or equivalent allowance.

Our projects mainly cover London & the Home Counties.

Current CSCS card

Full UK drivers license.

Graduate Geotechnical Engineer

Job Brief:

Reporting to the Technical Director you will be accountable for carrying out a wide range of ground engineering elements, covering ground improvement, foundation design and retaining structure design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production of Geotechnical design at tender stage to client requirements
  • Advising & working closely with structural engineers to achieve the most economical foundation solutions based upon site specific ground conditions
  • Assessing of site conditions, i.e ground/gas contaminants, potential for heave etc…
  • Preparation of calculations, written reports and checking of drawings
  • Advising of site investigation brief to meet our design requirements
  • Assisting with appointing and carrying out site investigation relevant to our proposals
  • Visits to site as required
  • Supporting Senior Engineers

Person Specification:

  • Passion for Geotechnics
  • Degree or greater in Geotechnics or another related field

Job Brief:

To work with the Pre-Construction Director to assist with their daily operations and sales administration to enable high levels of customer service to be maintained. (“1st class service levels”).

  • Review information received and submit to further requests for information (RFI’s)
  • Respond to customer queries
  • Handle all sales administration
  • Assist with marketing campaigns
  • Supporting with general operations
